Winter Blues

I don't know about all of you but, i'm getting the winter blues over here. 

All of the beautiful snow is about gone and has been replaced with rainy nasty weather. We live on a dirt road so as you can imagine it is a pretty muddy time anytime we head anywhere. The kids have been confined to the house and are getting a little stir crazy. The cloudy dreary days have gotten to all of us and we are just ready for some sunshine and warm weather. 

So...i'm currently digging through all of my yarn stash looking for bright cheery colors and searching my ravelry library for the perfect project. Crochet always brings me joy and keeps my hands and mind busy! Any ideas on what I should make next?

Oh and I would love to do a giveaway soon! We are SO close to 500 followers on fb and our instgram page is gaining new followers everyday! Give A Smile

Pretty hard to believe that Valentine's Day is only ONE WEEK away! Time has been flying by like crazy for me since the beginning of the year and I am trying my best to keep up. Anyone else feel the same way?

One of the things I love about Valentine's Day is it reminds us to show others we care. You don't have to buy expensive gifts or go all out in order to make someone's day and show them love. A simple handwirtten card sent "snail mail", seeing a need and meeting it, or just making the busy stop for a bit to give someone your time and full attention... all these things are inexpensive, meaningful ways to make someone feel loved and appreciated. We should never be too busy to show those we love how much they mean to us. 

But why stop with just those we know and love? Why not show a stranger love? Who knows.. you may be the perfect person to make their bad day better or boost their feeling of worth in any given moment. That frazzled mom at the checkout, the cashier at your favorite coffee shop, your neighbor, or maybe a sick child. 

Right now U of M is doing an amazing thing for their Little Victor's at C.S. Mott's Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. You can send a personalized valentine to a patient! Long Time No See

Hey Soft & Sweet Boutique Fans! Long time no see!

We are still alive and busy over here in the shop but life happened and we took a much needed break.

To update you since the last post: We have added two more babies to our little family! Two sweet girls.. Emily Brooke and Clara Mae. Both births were complicated. Our last daughter Clara was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in the spring of last year too so there has been a lot of adjusting and questions and many things on our minds through this all. My business and my blog haven't been top priority. 

With that being said... looking forward to re-engaging in my business, stocking up my etsy shop and getting back the craft and customers I love! I hope you are all doing well and look for a giveaway and new products coming soon!
